Jamaican authorities (Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division and the Contraband Enforcement Team) have discovered a whopping 121 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside a shipping container. The container was transshipping through the port of Kingston destined for China. The cargo had originated in Suriname.

During this routine inspection, the container was opened to discover the manifested cargo, lumber. There was also four black bags wrapped in transparent paper that were uncovered, which contained the cocaine.
No-one has currently been arrested but investigations continue.
The seizure of 121 kilograms of cocaine is worth approx USD1.3 million.
