Due to introduction of new Legislation, “Chain Of Responsibility Legislation for Road transport” which will become fully effective from March 2014, we would like to draw your attention to the Legislation Factsheet.

In a nutshell, everyone involved in the export process is responsible to some extent in declaring, preparing and arranging transport of shipment; most correct and relevant information to be provided to the best of knowledge and all efforts to be undertaken to provide exact weight, volume and ensure right type of transport equipments are used as per legislation.

To cover the requirements of responsibility of an exporter we recommend you prepare and provide the packing list as per below manner –

  • No. of packages, weight per package, total gross weight, total net weight
  • Container number, seal number, tare weight
  • Provide the packing list at least 48 hours prior to FCL box pick up.

LCL Shipment:

  • No. of packages, weight per package, total gross weight, total net weight
  • If we are arranging collection, please advise no. of packages, package type, dimensions of each package and weight while sending booking request

The legislation is strict terms and conditions and imposes severe financial penalty and prison terms for violating the requirements.
