The Polar Code

Whilst things are warming up in our “neck of the woods” we have to spare a thought to the seafarers that are traveling in the cold parts of the world.

The International Maritime Organisation has recently adopted a landmark “Polar Code”, which is the first mandatory blanket legislation for the improved safety of ships operating in the world’s polar regions.
