Snoozing in a box

We’re pumped to share with you an innovative idea – we’ve just uncovered – that has made us all very excited (perhaps a little bit too excited…)

One word – Snoozebox. Snooze = sleep, box = container. Sleep in a container. Yep, that’s right!

A ‘turnkey’ hotel, delivered to an event and fully operational in 48 hours clicked with me immediately. For spectators, staff and teams it works on every level at any event,” David Coulthard MBE President, Snoozebox advises on their website.

And that’s exactly what it is. This simple and ingenious idea is making headlines around the world for all the right reasons.

This “pop-up” hotel is useful for events like the Edinburgh Festival (where the Snoozebox is currently located) and where accommodation is often sold out.

The ingenious design, featuring our beloved shipping containers, ensures that the hotel can be set up with relative ease. The mobile hotel aims to be fully operational and taking bookings within 48 hours of arriving at a site.

If you think that chilling in a shipping container for a spell would be claustrophobic and uncivilised – think again! These rooms are kitted out with WIFI, your own personal safe, a flat screen TV, key card entry, climate control and your every own en-suite wet room. From the sound of it these shipping container rooms are every bit as comfortable and convenient as a conventional hotel.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed that one will be heading our way soon!
