Eighteen specially produced shipping containers have been utilized to build a six story high rise training centre in Birmingham, UK.
The containers were lowered into place at the Oldbury Fire Station. Construction was completed in three days.
The training facility will assist fire fighters in their training to prepare safely for situations in high rise incidents. Crews and incident commanders will be trained using the special high-rise training facilities on how fires behave in multi-story residential and commercial properties. Instructors are able to set different conditions, along with wind speed, varying ventilation along with the internal movement of smoke and fire.
The use of a shipping container knows no bounds!
