Shipping Awards Results 2016

Two of EES staff members were fortunate enough to be finalists again in this years Australia Shipping and Maritime Awards.

Geoff Hack, EES Managing Director was a finalist in the Maritime Service Award category.  The Maritime Services Award is recognition for “exceptional achievement or contribution to any service sector of the Australian Maritime industry by a company, individual or organisation” – and we think this sums up Geoff’s career. His involvement in improving the shipping and logistics industry in Western Australia and Australia is unparalleled and very valued.

Phil Gray, EES Customs Manager was also named as a finalist in the Customs Broker of the Year category. This award is ” judged on the basis of excellence both in customer service and also in regulatory compliance in the areas of customs, biosecurity and transport security. Judges will be looking entries for that clearly demonstrate that the nominee goes beyond the call of duty for their customers and also achieves everyday excellence.”

Phil and Glenn attended this prestigious award ceremony which was held at the gorgeous Dockside Cockle Bay Wharf at Darling Harbour in Sydney.  They were both kept highly entertained with ventriloquist Dean Atkinson being the Master of Ceremony during the evening.

It was an exciting night for EES with Geoff Hack receiving a high commendation in his category. Unfortunately this was not Phil’s year to take out the award.

We would like to thank the Lloyd’s List for a fantastic night. We’re already looking forward to next year!
