The annual report 2012-13 from Australian Customs and Border Protection Services (ACBPS) has been issued and it’s a record buster.
In the last financial year, there has been 183 tonnes of illicit tobacco, 200 million cigarette sticks, five tonnes of illicit substances and precursors for illegal drugs seized. There was also the largest single seizure of methamphetamine in Australia, which was 585kgs (estimated street value of $438 million).
