On December 3rd we reported that five Polish crew members that were abducted from a cargo ship off the coast of Nigeria.
The kidnapped sailors, which also included the vessels captain, were taken from the break bulk vessel Szafir but armed pirates.
During a press release Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo announced that the crew were safe and were on their way home.
All five members were unharmed during their ordeal – no report has been made on how the release was orchestrated.
