The Western Australia Port Operations Taskforce (WAPOTF) have recently released a general guide regarding Peak Season for Fremantle Port.
Mr John Park, Chairman of the WAPOTF Working Group is urging importers to ensure that container pick ups and returns are not left until the last minute.
“Pick-ups and returns should be organised for out of peak daylight operating hours.” Mr Park advised.
Avoiding any additional charges is the main focus for the peak season period. There are a few ways that you can ensure that you are covering yourself against these charges:
- Early ordering
- Considering alternative arrangements for deliveries during the Christmas rush
- Staying in close contact with our office.
