Police in Madrid, Spain, have declared that they have made 35 arrests in conjunction to a drug smuggling racket that spans over Europe and Latin America.

The interior minister has been quoted as saying that the gang was “specialised in bringing cocaine from Latin America into Europe in shipping containers and on commercial flights.”

Investigations were carried out over several months in Spain, Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ecuador and Peru.
