Lloyd’s List Australia rewards EES Shipping

The Annual Lloyd’s List Australian Shipping and Maritime Industry Awards were held in Melbourne last Thursday night.

EES were finalists in two awards this year. Geoff Hack, EES Shipping’s Managing Director, was a finalist for the Maritime Service Award and EES Shipping were finalists for the Freight Forwarder of the Year.

The Maritime Services Award is recognition for “exceptional achievement or contribution to any service sector of the Australian Maritime industry by a company, individual or organisation” – and we think this sums up Geoff’s career. His involvement in improving the shipping and logistics industry in Western Australia and Australia is unparalleled and very valued.

Geoff is active in Port Task Forces, Customs forums, Road Transport initiatives, International sea/air transport regulations and dangerous goods/cargo compliance, bringing the freight forwarder’s view to all discussions. Whether it is taking an individual hard stand or working with industry colleagues/competitors, he works tirelessly on ways to increase efficiency in the supply chain while keeping safety a number one priority.

We congratulate Geoff on being a finalist in this prestigious award and see it as fitting recognition for his lifelong achievements and service in the industry.

EES Shipping were also honoured to be a finalist for Freight Forwarder of the Year. This award is for “companies displaying excellence in freight forwarding, in terms of service and efficiency in sea, air, road or rail freight”. We are very excited to announce that we have received a Highly Commended in this category. We would like to congratulate our team on a job well done and look forward to keeping our services and efficiencies at this high level in the future.

We are very humbled by these two awards and know it reinforces logistics truly being our world.
