On Friday 2nd August 2019 certain industry bodies were advised by DP World Australia executives that the Construction Forestry Maritime Mining Energy Union (CFMMEU) has withdrawn industrial action at all four DP World Australia terminals.
We understand that the union has committed to constructive negotiations with the terminal operator. These negotiations are expected to commence soon.
This is a very positive development for industry and hopefully something that will provide more certainty to importers, exporters and other port users in the weeks and months ahead.
