Kindly be informed Ramadan, the Muslim fasting month, has started last week and will continue until Wednesday June 5th 2019.
During Ramadan, like most offices in Indonesia, PT M+R Forwarding Indonesia will adjust their working hours as follows:
Monday to Friday 8:30am until 4:30pm – Weekends closed.
PT M+R Forwarding Indonesia will be closed during Eid al Fitr, the post Ramadan national holiday on June 5th, 6th and 7th 2019 and we will resume work on Monday June 10th 2019.
Please carefully note the following:
As before and after the holidays millions of people will be traveling, road restrictions will be in place around the big cities from 31st May until 10th June 2019. This will make it difficult to arrange trucking to/from seaports and airports during that period.
Also, many transport companies will be closed for 2 weeks, meaning truck availability will be in short supply which can result in higher costs.
Customs will be open, but with skeleton staff, meaning delays may be encountered in the customs process and delivery of goods.
In view of the above we would suggest you do not send any airfreight shipments to arrive Indonesia during week 23 – 3rd to 8th June 2019, this so to avoid any unwanted airline storage charges, which consignees may refuse to pay, resulting in complaints not only to us but your shipper customers at origin also.
