The Western Australia Port Operations Task Force have recently issued the Trade Statistics for Fremantle Port.
They advise as follows:
- Trade in May is 6.6% higher than the same period of the previous year (59,144 TEUs).
- Loaded exports continue to perform well with results 30% higher than the same period of the previous year.
- Loaded imports are 1.4% lower than the same period of the previous year.
Overall trade appears to be recovering from the fairly flat results experienced during 2013, with year to date to May indicating an increase on the same period of the previous year (+4.1%).
