Providing your Incoterms are relevant, it is at this stage that you should notify us of the order that you have placed with your supplier.
Let us show you step-by-step the procedure behind your ever important import booking. We here at EES believe that transparency is the key for a fantastic relationship between importer and freight forwarder, that’s why we ensure that any information provided to us by our agent is automatically updated into our 24/7 on-line tracking system:
1. Once your order is placed with your supplier, please kindly provide us with a copy of either the order or the pro-forma invoice.
2. EES will then make contact with our relevant agent that is located near your suppliers premises.
3. Our nominated agent will speak directly to your supplier (or via their own agent if they have one).
4. It’s from this stage that our agent will ascertain the volume of the cargo along with ready date. Port of discharge and other information is also confirmed.
5. It will then be determined what size container is required to move cargo. Vessel details are booked for either the container or if it is smaller, LCL cargo.
6. Once cargo is confirmed on board the vessel that is departing from the Port of Loading, all documentation is issued (bills of lading).
7. Once you receive your clearance documents from your supplier, pass them directly to us.
8. Clearance through Australian Customs is arranged by our Customs Brokers.
9. Delivery of your cargo is organised by our cartage department.
10. If you have a full container, notify us when empty to allow it to be dehired.
