The Maritime Union of Australia (MUA), a division of the CFMMEU, has given notice of industrial action at DP World terminals, in connection with ongoing negotiations on a new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EA).
The industrial action includes work bans and rolling work stoppages (some for a full 24 hours) at DP World’s terminals in Sydney, Melbourne, Fremantle and Brisbane.
The industrial action also includes bans on working on ships for eight hours after berthing, work on subcontracted vessels, or working outside rosters.
Containers arriving during the time of industrial action will be affected. Please note that there may also be excessive waiting times for trucks at the terminal during this time as well as a lack of wharf bookings being made over the available days.
