Implementation of LCL Infrastructure Levies

Please note we have been advised by ACFS Port Logistics of the implementation of Infrastructure Levies for import LCL shipments into all Australian main ports.

ACFS Port Logistics (ACFS) over the last few months have been completing a business review of all escalating costs and compliance, and regrettably have now come to the conclusion that immediate action is required.

Please find the below notice as received from ACFS, noting these charges will be passed on directly.

Whilst our customers benefit from ACFS operating out of key strategic facilities on the Port in every Port, we have most recently been affected by significant cost increases across our business. Most significantly, we have incurred significant extra ordinary property market rent reviews at our major Port properties in Sydney (28% increase) and Melbourne (39% increase) where increases are immediate and also retrospective dating back a minimum 12 months period. This is in addition to higher wages, security, energy and property maintenance costs.

The Cargo Infrastructure Levy will be applied to all LCL shipments into Australia – please kindly contact our office for the rate details.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact EES Shipping for further clarification.
