DP World / Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) Industrial Disruption – Fremantle Terminal (Thursday  31/07/2014)

DP World has just announced the following in regards to proposed industrial action by the MUA

“We are disappointed to receive the MUA’s notification of a four-hour stoppage at DP World Fremantle on Thursday, 31 July 2014, as well as a series of rolling bans on labour, with the potential for ongoing disruption to our operation.”

“As a result of this action, DP World Fremantle will cease servicing ships through the terminal, effective from 1600 hours on Thursday, 31 July 2014.”

“Affected vessels will be subcontracted on Friday, Sunday and Monday. We will continue to work with Patrick to subcontract any affected vessels during this period of disruption”
