Border Watch is the Australian Border Force’s single collection point for community and industry information about activities which seek to undermine Australia’s immigration and citizenship programmes, or attempt to circumvent Australia’s customs, trade and border protection controls.
By reporting suspicious, unlawful or criminal activities targeting Australia’s border, you can play a vital role in helping to protect the border, the economy and the safety of the Australian community.
The support from industry and the community has delivered great results for the program. EES Shipping are proud partners with Border Watch.
Border Watch also values its partnerships with community groups and individuals who observe suspicious activities in their local environments. These groups include accommodation and tourism providers, coast guard volunteers, radio operators, 4WD clubs, marina operators and residents of coastal communities.
We encourage any individual or group that identifies suspicious border activity to make contact with the Border Watch programme.
Border Watch members strive to:
- provide timely information about any unusual or suspicious incidents of interest to us
- Work with us in the development of consultative and cooperative working arrangements
- monitor and improve their internal security.
In turn we agree to:
- provide awareness sessions and advice on matters relating to security and drug interdiction
- participate in and encourage the development of consultative and cooperative working arrangements.
