EES have bought you many ways that containers are being re-purposed in today’s recyclable world. They’ve been used to house prisoners, made into schools and even made into saunas.
Today we bring you a inspiring story from the U.K. where shipping containers are being used to house the homeless.
With the number of homeless increasing in many cities across England, containers are being converted into affordable housing. The containers are being stacked in three and five storey apartment complexes that are linked with balconies and are reached by simple staircases.
With rent being approx AUD150 per week, this straight forward yet effective housing is affordable and equipped with all the basic needs.
Logistics is touching everyone’s world.
