The MOL Marvel is the guinea pig for a innovative invention, the container ship windshield.
This brand new technology is hoping to cut CO2 emissions along with increasing fuel savings.
This bright white windshield was recently placed on the bow of the container ship MOL Marvel. It’s a horseshoe shaped design that encloses the front line of shipping containers to maximize the wind resistance-reducing effect.
It is hoped that the CO2 emissions will be cut by 2%. It is also expected that the shield will protect ships from water on the bow deck during bad weather.
