A big congratulations is in order for Tracy Ferguson from R.Melling and Associates for receiving the coveted Ray Melling Student Award at the annual CBFCA (Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia) Christmas Party.
This is the second time that Tracy has won this award – rounding off her year of studying in style.
Tracy has now completed her two years of studying to become a Customs Broker. There are still several more steps to be taken before Tracy will receive her Customs Brokers License.
When asked how she felt about these last few years of studying and the future prospect of becoming a broker, Tracy replied “It’s scary and daunting, the pressure that is placed on Customs Brokers is huge but I am ready for the challenge. Completing two years of this course, and receiving two awards during this time, is something that I am very proud of”.
We’re proud of you too Tracy – managing full time work, part time study and raising a young family could not have been easy!
During the Christmas Party, our very own Phil Gray was re-awarded with his CBFCA Fellowship. Phil’s change in status with the CBFCA came in September this year advancing him from a Senior Associate to a Fellow.
A big thanks goes out to the CBFCA for another fantastic Christmas celebration. Phil and Tracy must be on Santa’s nice list this year!
