The end of last week was an exciting time for EES Shipping with the annual Lloyd’s List Australian Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards being held at the picturesque Darling Harbour in Sydney.
EES Shipping Pty Ltd was named as a finalist for the Freight Forwarder of the Year category. This is also the same category that we were finalists for in 2014 and also 2013 – this year we received the Highly Commended award.
2015 also saw Phil Gray, EES Customs Manager, named as a finalist in the category of Customs Broker of the Year. Phil was also a finalist in this same category in 2014.
For the second year in a row, the awards were eagerly attended by Glenn Hack, EES Director / Special Projects Manager, Phil Gray, Customs Manager and Amanda Bradfield, Business Support.
What a glorious warm night it was on Darling Harbour, surrounded by the Industries greats including the editorial staff from Lloyd’s List Australia. Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss also attended the award night.
The decor was amazing, with the food equally well executed. During the evening we enjoyed watching the entertainment which was supplied by Australia’s own master of illusion Adam Dean.
So how did we go? We’re so excited to announce that EES Shipping Pty Ltd and Phil Gray BOTH received Highly Commended awards in both their nominated categories! We’re thrilled to be acknowledged for our hard work..
A big thank you to Lloyd’s List for another fantastic night. Jim Wilson, Editor from the Lloyd’s List said “Tonight we honour excellence in a wide range of categories across the industry”.
