Fremantle on the must visit list for 2016

Lonely Planet has recently listed Fremantle in it’s Top Ten Destinations to visit in 2016!

The City of Fremantle is home to Fremantle Port which is the State’s biggest general cargo port and Australia’s fourth largest container port.

Fremantle has long been the hub for the shipping industry, with the majority of shipping lines and freight forwarders all being located (at least once) in their cheery streets.  EES itself has had two addresses in Fremantle.  Right in the heart of the city in Cliff Street and later being located just a few minutes walk from the city centre, in Howard Street.

The Lonely Planet lists these as some of the reasons to visit Fremantle:

  • Live-music rooms
  • Hipster bars and cafes
  • Boutique hotels
  • Left-field bookshops
  • Craft-beer breweries
  • Indian Ocean seafood shacks
  • Buskers
  • Beaches

We think that the friendly people and of course the port itself should be added onto this list.  So picturesque.

On a gorgeous warm sunny day there’s no place that we’d rather be than Fremantle.
