The Hoegh Osaka, and she’s completely upright – no list!
The Hoegh Osaka has finally completed discharging it’s precious cargo and is now on it’s way to the picturesque port of Falmouth,Cornwell for further repairs.
Hoegh Autoliners have issued the following statement:
All units have now been discharged and the vessel is empty of cargo.
The cleaning of decks and accommodation areas has been completed in Southampton. Tomorrow the vessel will move to Falmouth for final repair which is expected to take 2-3 weeks
We’ve been keeping you up-to-date on this interesting story since the captain and pilot of the vessel deliberately beached the 51,770 gross tonne vessel after it developed a severe list shortly after departure from Southampton. The vessel was on it’s way to Germany to finally end up in the Middle East.
