The DCG is encouraging importers to reach out to the ATO to explore arrangements that have been introduced during this difficult time.
ABF have engaged with Treasury and others on the request to defer duty and GST. Treasury has also advised that the ATO will issue communications for importers and brokers about the advantages of the GST deferral scheme and a link to access COVID-19 support that may be available to them.
